Elena Blazquez, born in 1991, has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Design and completed her Master of Arts in Industrial Design in 2020 at the Folkwang University of the Arts. Since then she has been living and working in Bochum in the Ruhr area as a freelance designer. In her works she deals with socially relevant topics and taboos, current discourses serve as a starting point for her concepts.
Elena Blazquez loves working with different materials, whereby textile techniques are often in the foreground. She combines unusual shapes with high-contrast color concepts, which defines the resulting objects.
